    internet privacy

I know in MS mode you can install applications that will supposedly mask your ip to a random false internet protocall address and change your mac address and change your hostname on your machine that you are on, but do they have an app out on the linux side? I would like my data to be masked from the web as much as possible, I know I can do simple mac cloning and hostname changing through my router but it wont hide my ip address......

this seems to be a browser masking app, but does it mask you through a terminal aswell?

I guess I could try and remote into my box from outside my residence and check my router logs to see if it will truely mask me.

It looks like JAP works by using a proxy, from the FAQ
Which applications can be anonymized with JAP?

Technically, any program that supports the SOCKS protocol could be anonymized with JAP. However, our mix cascades intentionally only support classical internet surfing (in other words the request for information from the WWW, not the distribution of it) in the browser, in other words, http, https, and ftp.
Perhaps, tor would better suit your needs.
