    dual head with inspiron 9400

    Hello,

I have installed Fedora Core 4 on my Dell Inspiron with success. The xorg.conf uses the vesa driver. I am trying to configure dual head display without success. Has someone tried this feature? It works as as charm with Windows XP on the same laptop.

    Kind regards,

This should be in it's own thread and not hijacking another

Could you post a few extra details, like the video card it has. If it has the 256MB DDR NVIDIA® GeForceT Go 7800 as listed then you'll need to install the nvidia drivers and change the driver from vesa to nvidia

The supported list does not specificly show the 7800 Go card so you might need to be patient and wait for the 7800 Go support...or try it anyway and expect some features not to work.

If you push on, refer to the NVIDIA Appendix G. Configuring TwinView section of the nvidia README

    Dual head display with VESA

    Hello,
The DELL Inspiron 9400 laptop uses the Intel Graphics chip set. It does NOT use Nvidia. How should I configure by using the vesa driver?
    Kind regards,
