Question SuSE 10 install freezes [WAS: Looked everywhere and still need help !!!]

    Hello,

I have searched the forums and google and nothing !!!

I have a Sony Vaio Laptop and I want to dual boot Suse 10 with Win XP.

XP is already installed and I'm trying to install Suse, so far with no luck, everytime I try it freezes before it gets to the end of the installation either on full install or that other option ACPI disabled, neither works...Both freeze.

I have no idea what else to try..Any one got any ideas ?

Please post with a subject line that relates to your question. See the link in my sig for more information on making good posts. Since it's your first one I'll give you a freebie.

Have you tried using the safe mode or text mode install (I don't recall which SuSE has).

Edit: Whoops, apparently I need to practice with the moderator tools a little more. Now the thread title should be fixed completely.

Didn't find any 10.0 Suse installs, but Suse 9.x had a bunch of examples. Like this one...

Hopefully, you can find tips to work through your problem.

Were you a Windows expert the VERY first time you looked at a computer with Windows, or did it take a little time.....
