I've finally gotten my slack 10.1 box to function like I want, now I've turned my attention towards making it look like I want. I downloaded a splash screen for kde from kde-look.org but when I opened kcontrol and tried to add it, it didn't find the ksplash theme file (It was there named Theme.rc) So after searching a bit on the web I placed the folder containing the theme in /opt/kde/share/apps/ksplash/Themes and the theme then showed up in kcontrol. It tests fine, but when I select it, click apply and restart X the default splash screen comes up. Since I manually installed it in the themes directory, I imagine there's a config file I've got to alter to be able to use it. Any ideas?

BTW, I'm using kde 3.3
