Inside IBM's Zurich lab
IBM's Zurich Lab
"The IBM Research laboratory in Zurich, Switzerland, founded 50 years ago, was Big Blue's first research facility outside the U.S. It was 25 years ago that the lab made its most famous research breakthrough: the scanning tunneling microscope, which provided the foundation for understanding and working with nanoscale technology."
Nanowire microprocessors, CPU chips with built in liquid cooling, and other neat stuff.
So Parcival, when are you going on a tour and posting photos?

Dang, the registration deadline for the Openhouse on the 10th of June ended yesterday. Well, I know someone in IBM Switzerland's managment, maybe I still can get in.

You can have a small tour of the IBM labs in Rüschlikon while you comfortably sit in your US chair. Last night the lab was on our national television's science program, you can watch it here . Also a good opportunity to brush up your German.
