What a terrific idea; wish I had thought of it first! I'll write a reminder to myself to post a few days before Aug 25/07 and see what we can come up with given our numerous time zones. We've lots of time to think about it.

I have two friends who died from cancer, one being mdwatts and one being Swiss. They show up yearly in my handheld agenda, one in August and one in February. I remember Mike when I look into my agenda - and whenever I write an email because this quote is featured in every signature of mine (you can find it in the fortune mod):

I'll leave the front porch light on for you.

Does anybody have any idea at what time Mike died? I think that would be fitting for the time. (If it is posted in the Mike thread, my apologies, I haven't looked)

I don't spend as much time here at the moment as I would like to, life and work has thrown as much as it can at me the last few months.

However theres times when I do come by and see a few posts that at first I can't be bothered with, they're just one quick google away. However I always remember how Mike helped me and everyone here. So I do my best to find a answer and try to point out how to find something with google or the forum search.

I've got the fortune mod on my computer, and get a mdwatts quote each day!

It is there and wasylk posted on 8/29/04 that Mike died just before mid-night [Aug 25/04]. Mike lived in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and the time zone there would have been EDT. ]

I have 25th August in my calendar permanently. mdwatts was the kind of guy that made a community work, and he is sorely missed.
