    Hey Everyone! "Forums Upgraded"!!

The JustLinux Forums have been upgraded to vBulletin. All of the features from the old version are available, as well as a new look and feel for JL members!
    Umm, "new", right...

Was anyone _ever_ planning on taking that off the front page? That's been up there for like 2 years now or something. How about posting some news about Brian P. I only ever see him on LT.com anymore.

Ya, I've been looking at that for the last couple months wondering if we should harass JP about it

    Still Here... Sort Of

JP has been handling the main duties of the forums, but I still have been remiss in handling the front page. I am getting my access set up again and will take care of it today.

    Peace,

Wow, that was quick. I didn't think you even visited the forums anymore...I guess I'll have to stop badmouthing you around here then.

Brian! Good to know you're still with us, if it wasn't for seeing you posting LinuxToday stories I'd think you had gotten a new job!

It's funny, but I think they actually were not too long ago. I tried to visit one night and got a maintenance message, then when I came back I had to re-log in. I figured it was probably an upgrade that invalidated my old cookies.

I think this is as good of place as any to ask this, but how in the world do you look at older posts, lets say 3 yrs ago? I've tried the search, but it will only go back or list 500 results. Is there a way I can rummage through some of the old posts? I was wanting to read some of mdwatt's early posts but if I do a search on his name I can only go back 500 and with almost 40,000 post I would like to read some of the early ones. Am I just missing something?

    Thanks

The advanced search allows you to go back 1 yr. and older, but will still only give 500 results max.

    Code:
    Showing results 1 to 25 of 500
Search took 2.75 seconds. Search: Posts Made By: mdwatts

If you're looking to peruse older threads without any specific search criteria, change the dropdown thread display cutoff date in that subforum to "the beginning". Then you can peruse all threads ever made to that forum.

And for a fleeting second...I was not sure if I was a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or, a butterfly dreaming I was a man....Lao-tzu
