    [SOLVED] Clear "New Posts"

The title says it all. I use the "New Posts" function at the blue bar with User CP and all. However, I've not been here for quite some time and the list is awfully long, with a lot of threads I have no intent to read.

Works! Thanks for the easy solution.

EDIT: users aren't allowed to tag their problems solved?

    Hi.

Go to your first post, #1 that started the thread, can you edit the title?

If so, then add "SOLVED" or something similar. If not, I don't know what else to try ... cheers, hotcold

Unfortunately, editing one's original posting's title only changes the title printed in bold letters directly above the post, but not the title used to display the thread in the thread lists. The "real" title can only be changed by us moderators. As we read along in the threads we automatically add a [SOLVED] when we see a problem's done. However, you can help us a lot by saying in a final post you consider the problem solved because that way we're definitely sure we can label the thread solved.

Non-mods used to be able to change the title that showed up in the forum list by changing the title on their first thread, but that only worked if there weren't any replies to it. As soon as someone replied, the change would only modify the title that Parcival's talking about.

I don't know if that changed at all with the recent board upgrade, though.

Apparently the behaviour is the same --- I edited it before hotcold's post and nothing happened to the real title.
