Dreamweaver site manager equivalent for linux

I have been looking for an ftp site manager similar to the site manager in Dreamweaver.

You guys know of one that will do the trick?

I haven't used them recently (I do everything by hand ) but Nvu and its cousin Kompozer are supposed to be pretty good tools.

Tried Nvu. Didn't like it. I'll check out KompoZer

    Kompozer seems much more mature.
I equivocate, therefore I might be.

Kompozer would do the trick, however is looks like it only puts your ftp server in the site manager. I could not figure out how to create a project and have it show local files. Only the ftp files. That would be _ok_, except that when I hit save it wanted me to save the file locally.
