kmail problems

sorry for my rather silly question but,
kmail does not allow me to compose letters with more than 60 letters/row
wich is really annoying.
how can I fix this ?

have you tried going to "Settings->Configure Kmail->Composer" and making sure that word wrap at column limit is set to something higher than 60?

just tried it and I see that I can go no further than 78.

I've solved the problem de-selecting the wrap checkbox altogether.
