Hell on Earth with Gutsy Gibbon + Alimo pro v2030
Hi, I have an old Alimo pro v2030 laptop that I am trying to install Ubuntu 7.10 on.
However the install process is literally hell on earth, with each step of the installer taking upwards of an hour or more to execute. (Indeed I never get to the end of the process since it simply takes too long).
Throughout this time it is draining system resources massively, which prevents anything from being done.
Can anyone tell me why it is taking so long and how I can speed it up?
Thanks.
