    Question on new Computer

    was wondering if
    OCZ Platinum 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)

    Will work okay with:
    ASUS P5N-D LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

    You can download the Qualified Vendor List from ASUS on the product page: http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1...33&modelmenu=1
    but I don't see OCZ listed.
    The mobo specs recommend DDR2 800, so you should limit yourself to that speed - the one you picked probably won't work.

    Because the ram and the board are both DDR2 wont the clock speed of the ram lower down to the board's speeds? This is what I am not sure on.

    Yes, it will. The rating on the RAM is maximum it is certified to run at, so it will have no problem running at a slower speed.
