    Hi,

    Yep that's conky in both of those screen shots, the open-moments.com one, is actually mine. conky uses a config file in your home directory to set the layout and position. I've attached mine, the same as in the screenshot, so you can have a look and play around with it.

    If you download my conkyrc file, you'll have to rename it to .conkyrc and put it in your /home...easy enough to do with:
    Code:
    mv conkyrc.txt ~/.conkyrc
    Unfortinuately my conkyrc isn't commented at all, and I can't really remember what the options do. If you give me some time, I'll go through and comment what I can for you. Otherwise you might be able to find what you want from the conky website. You'll have to remove the line that looks like this:
    Code:
    gMail - ${execi 300 python ~/bin/gmail.py}
    As that runs a python script to check my gMail, if you want I can share that script too.

    Have a read of this so you can get conky to start when you log into Fluxbox...http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Autostart_Programs#Fluxbox

    Its been a long time since I've used Fluxbox, but isn't the Slit the bar at the bottom that has minimised apps in it? :S

    [EDIT]
    Fixed spell...and added a commented conky config, not complete comments, but see http://conky.sourceforge.net/documentation.html for anything your not sure off, or ask here

    If you have to ask why you want to install Linux, then perhaps you shouldn't.
