She is nice indeed, just use her work, nothing special your wife should understand that.

Not wife, girlfriend.
Though, this is the longest standing relationship I've been in ever - so I have to give her credit for that. Usually I fall into the 3 months and the newness has worn off - time to look for something new. She has given me a lot of freedom to do as I please within some respectable and understandable limits. Most of all she understands my limited free time being in the IT/Programming/Engineering field.
At any rate, this is a thread on Linux screen shots and not my love life. So let me see more desktops with something to envy and try to configure on my own desktop!
Side note: I'm really loving E17. If you have the free time, download the SVN and give it a whirl. It has some MAJOR improvements over E16.

Done.
Here's my latest: http://www.nemebean.com/screenshots/Alice.jpg
I've been pretty happy with my desktop setup for a while now so I haven't changed much.

It's a custom SuperKaramba theme. I copied it here if you want it (but I won't guarantee it will work).

Anyway, here's mine.
Thinkpad T20 - 700Mhz - 256MB RAM
Slackware-current
KDE 4.1.2
The laptop could definitely use 512MB RAM, but I am pleasantly surprised that KDE 4.1 does run respectably on this older machine. By that I mean the desktop runs fine, and the only issues are when a particular app or combination of apps sucks up all the memory. All in all, KDE4 seems much easier on resources than 3.5 was.
My only disappointment is that I can't enable desktop effects due to the lame S3 video card. Oh well.
where did you get that wallpaper?
