best Linux media center setup?
Hi guys,
Its been a while since I've been here but I wanted to gauge members opinions on the best Linux setup for a media center.
I've been looking at Myth TV but I'm not really aware of any possible alternatives.
Any recommendations?
By this I mean for a system wired into a tv that would play various types of video etc.

Hmm, Freevo looks like it might be good. Anyone with experience with this?

You might want to take a look at the Mythbuntu project.

Let us know how it goes.
Good Luck,

MythTV is pretty much all there is available but it IS an excellent package. It can fully integrate with a TV-based system (even the remote control) for easy access to all its functions. The only drawback of it is that it's fairly difficult to get working correctly. Still, makes a great project!
