I don't know whether this is a very good question to post on this topic, but: when I first came here, I saw a lot of posts by forum elders like dkeav, Parcival and DavidMD. Where have these guys suddenly disappeared?

    Code:
    #slocate dkeav,Parcival,DavidMD
"I was pulled over for speeding today. The officer said, "Don't you know
the speed limit is 55 miles an hour?" And I said, "Yes, but I wasn't going
    to be out that long."

dkeav hangs out on irc linuxn00b, he got into an argument with one of the mods and ended up leaving the forum.

I haven't seen Parcival post in some time.

DavidMD posted within the last year.

You can't keep up the momentum forever......like any community people are born, they live, they move, they die. Some come back to visit.

Parcival left a while back because he had stopped using Linux regularly (for a Mac, not Windows, so he didn't completely go to the dark side).

Not sure what happened to hard candy. I don't see anything from him announcing that he was leaving so I guess he just drifted away from the forum. Like JohnT said, that happens with pretty much all forums though.

    leonpmu ,

The forum owner has showed up everyone's join date. Yours appears at the top right hand corner showing Feb 2003.

Parcival left JL and moved (or stayed) in Switzerland. Before he left he recommended me to become a mod.

Some time in 2002 for me. I stop by from time to time and see how things are going. Things really changed after we lost mdwatts.
Check out my ebay auction for my signature space on JLC.

Hey if people can sell advertising space on thier bodies, I figure I can make $.02 on my signature space.

I'm coming up on 8 years but I'm nowhere near the oldest member.
Where are we going and why am I in this handbasket?
