    Facebook photo uploads

Okay, this is driving me insane... yet again! I am running OpenSuSE 11.0 x86_64 with Mozilla 3.5.1. I have Java Version 1.6.0_15 from Sun Microsystems Inc. installed and it works according to this test page:

    http://www.javatester.org/version.html

I have tried Opera, Konqueror and Mozilla firefox. I have also tried fb-photo-uploader and Bloom 2.5.1 and none of them allow me to use the browse upload feature... well actually I did get ONE upload completed. But all I get is a grey box. Or Opera will say Applet Loaded and not show any of the controls. Konqueror... won't even attempt to work and the two upload programs... neither of them works. I try to log in and they keep running me in a "you need to log in" loop which I am and yet they say they don't.

The simple uploader works, but it's slow and cumbersome. I know I can load photos using the easy uploader... but how! Oh and this is consistent on 3 separate systems. Two desktops and my laptop all respond the same way.

Getting tired of trying to fix it... need help.

    Thank you,

Corrected my typo... I have the latest Java from sun installed already.

As of March 2008 the latest version of Java 1.5.x from Sun was 1.5.0_15
As of August 3, 2009, the latest version of Java is 1.6.0_15 (a.k.a Version 6 Update 15)
Not saying its a fix.....but it might be a start.

Thats great! I just joined, was going to say I use Opera as a quick fix, hadnt thought about the java update! Also, if you have firefox 3.5 and say firefox 3.0, and open them both for any reason, it can toast flash and java until a restart. I've got both and have had your very problem, and am just to lazy to restart! : ) Once I restart, I have no trouble.

Instead of restarting try hunting down any stray Java processes and kill them, it's not always quicker but it is more fun!
