rename multiple folders

I've got about twenty folders with names such as "Bennett Galleries" or "Athletic House" and I want to rename them to "Bennett_Galleries" or "Athletic_House". Can someone point me to the right utility to use to accomplish this (sed, awk, bash script, etc...)?
