Lucid, ssh, and tightvnc
Hi again guys
recently, but before it was LTS, I moved along to Lucid on my home desktop. I used to enjoy open remote access to my workplace with simple VNC.
More lately there's been a little paranoia, or security consciousness, and so I am now aiming to load my key, ssh in, and forward the port locally so that I can run xtightvncviewer and carry on as normal.
Except it doesn't - connection to server is refused and yet will work for a colleague.
Are there Lucid issues I'm unaware of?
Oh yeah, and hopefully this is not relevant, but for my sins I went for the 64 bit (just because I could!).
In the process of arriving at Debian after seeing the light with Bucky Badger, which will date me if we ever have a Zany Zebra
