Wow...if that's Slackware then that is the best looking Slackware desktop I have ever seen!

Hey JohnT, what widgets are you using there? I like the weather widget. Does it provide a 5 day forcast as well? If so I might replace my conky stuff with that!

Slackware doesn't come with Gnome any longer so that was the first hurdle....then I tried quite a few docks, settled on gDesklets (one of the more stable I tried) and weather applets (this one is GoodWeather-white) .It is not setup for 5 day but I haven't look to see what is possible. Its in python. There is also aDesklets you could look at.

Sweet thanks! Looks like aDesklets can do it (they demo some 3 day forecast stuff in their screenshots). I like the overall look-and-feel that it has to so I'll have to pull it down and give it a shot.

Then again I should probably finish my thesis but which of the following sounds like more fun -- tweaking my desktop widgets or finishing my thesis?
"The author of that poem is either Homer or, if not Homer, somebody else of the same name."

    That's a no-brainer.......desktop is your life!
My wife's gone for a week on a business trip, so I got plenty of time to play.
Bye the bye....if your gonna use aDesklets......pay attenttion to this
