My uptime survived the move (so far)

I'm in the process of moving into a new house, and I managed to get my web server moved without shutting it down. It's a laptop so it has its own battery, but I wasn't sure if it would still be any good since I haven't used it in over two years. Apparently it's still good enough for a ten minute drive though.

    Code:
    11:38:51 up 538 days, 22:55, 1 user, load average: 1.00, 1.00, 1.00

If it reports 538 days then the system should be have been up and running that long, should it not?

Yeah, it's been up for 538 days. I was able to move it without shutting it down because it's a laptop. It seemed like a shame to let a little thing like moving end a good uptime.

I will probably shut down my full tower server when I move next month. My uptime is only 90 days anyway. I think that was when I updated to Squeeze.

update's are killing my uptime too, and the occasional power surge because I am cheap of coarse.
