two weeks ago my cups service began failing. I can restart it, but now I am restarting it daily or 2x a day. I have just changed the cups.conf file to debug to get more data. I am not seeing anything in the error logs that show me why the service is stopping yet. Is there another troubleshooting method or best practice to figure out why the CUPS service is now failing daily?
when lpstat -p returns nothing, all my printing services stop, I then restart cups and I my users are back in business. I am looking for a solution so I am not tied to the server for restarting the service multiple times a day.
