Hello.

I am a network engineer, yet despite repeated attempts I am unable to install KaliLinux as my second OS on my laptop. My 1st OS is Windows 10. My processor is an Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1035G1 CPU @ 1.00GHz 1.19 GHz

My latest attempts have been guided by the instructions at this link...
https://www.ceos3c.com/security/inst...ltimate-guide/

When installing Kali, I wipe (zeroed out) the partition so that I begin with clean hardware.

My install uses the 64 bit Kali iso (DD) image.

After a smooth install, when I reboot, the BIOS displays a message "checking media [fail]" and then Windows 10 is loaded.

When I enter the BIOS to reorder the OS boot order, I do see the Kali OS option, but when I place Kali in the first position, the BIOS refuses to react to my pressing the "enter" key to complete my selection.

I dont know if this matters because my A+ certification is 9 years old, but when I investigate the drives in disk management, the Kali drive is a primary partition, but not labeled as a boot partition.

Please help. I do appreciate it. Thank you.
