Adding more memory to the TinkPad T 420

the question: Adding more memory to the TinkPad T 420 - should i do this!?


i have a Thinkpad t420 - which generally comes with 4G installed.

well with Linux i guess i can work with the thinkpad som more years.

Well i think ill have to add another 4G to it. Hopefully this is not to hard.
The slot at the back should be the way to go.

What do you say - should i add as much memory as possible. So I have two questions

1. Is it possible to add a secondary 8GB at the back slot?
2. what do you say to a SSD

does this help with some performance - improvements?

Get Linux up and running first. Then decide if you'll use the machine a lot and it it needs more memory.
