head-start in using github within VS Code - how to setup and run?

g day dear friends,

here i am back again..

well I know i?m going to look pretty stupid for asking such newbie-question🫠

but i have had a hassle with all that: imagine, i even ?ve looked all over youtube and all of the videos that are covering the same topic, all those cos and such thing - that are from years ago, so i am in need of an approach that runs well ....

Can someone here explain all that to me in the most basic terms how to use github and vs code
together so that i?m able to access my code on Github from both my laptop and desktop
