Webmin-question: how to set up webmin the right way
good day dear friends
well first of all: i really hope that you are well right now - and that everytinkg runs nicely on your site
at the moment i am musing about a special issue: which steps to take while setting up a new db on Webmin
here the SYSTEM INFORMATION||
Code:
|
| OS type linux ; OpenSuse
| Virtualmin version; the newest Version
hmm - well, which things have to be done first: should i first
a. create a user
b. create a db
c. create a user-permission
d. create a host permission
e. create a db-permission
well is there any concrete order - or a way to do the setup - mandantory!?
Do you have any ideas!?
look forward to hear from you
have a great day

I assume by database you are referring to mariadb? Is it installed?
The order seems about right.

hi there dear michaelk
thank you alot. Well sometimes i have heard that the complete setup consists of Virtualmin - and webmin
but in my case i only have webmin (access)
so that said: i think that my server has some parts of the (complete) setup - "hidden".
and the order - i have tried various steps - and still struggle with the creation of a valid db-connection.
i will try out more things - and come back
in the meanwhile- Many many thanks for your big help. i am very glad to be here!!!
have a great day
