Should be a 'HEADS UP' forum that warns people of bad links..

There needs be a forum section in the forum called 'HEADS UP!'.. A spot where good honest meek innocent wise people can post their discoveries about unscrupulous, dangerous, and useless websites, which they believe are run by: greeds, pigs, scammers, criminals, demons, and christians, warning all others to not click on those nasty links.. *But WITHOUT! posting the actual links in the forum... Just refer to them, by stripping off the htp's and ww's from the copied/pasted links...

I.E.: I'm searching for the 'Publer' link to download a youtube video with this new install Linux Mint OS.. I go into 'Duck Go's' search page for 'Publer' (duckduckgo.com/?t=ffab&q=publer&ia=web).. I get all that useless sewage, but no link to 'Publer's Photo/Video Downloader'.. This happens too often with quackquack-go's searches.. It looks like those quackquack-go 'Publer' links are just an assortment of biased sneaky corrupt scammer and hacker pages, like 'trap-door spiders waiting for their next victims to meander by'..
Then I surf 'Publer' in google (google.com/search?q=publer), and oh yay, there's the link for: 'Publer Photo/Video Downloader'...

I dislike that quackquack-go is so biased, deficient, and useless.. I'm angry about quackquack's thht.. Do I sound angry..?
It makes me wonder if quakquack-go is elitist entitled criminals screwing with the public in between hallelujah glory-be prayer meetings.. This experience has me frantically digging into Librewolf's settings to change the search engine from the quackquack-go plugged latrine to google.. I've had Enough! of quackquack-go's overly biased, deficient, pampas-azz, overly self-righteous, manipulative, gagagoogoo, christian rural-granny's prayer-meeting search engine.. I'm going to boycott that damn quackquack-go search engine forever.. So what of google tracks you, what doesn't..? At least with google you get what you're searching for without lord crishnuh and mother theresa filtering the searches...

Dump 'Duck Duck Go'.. It's Biased-CRAP...

Topic: A serious abuse problem with 'Duck Duck Go'..

I have 150 hard drives.. I make free computers for terminally sick kids.. I love Librewolf.. Librewolf comes with 'Duck Duck Go', but without 'Google' in the search engine options.. This note is why Google should be included in the search engine options in Librewolf...

I posted this angry note in a Linux Forum..

It sounds like you have strong feelings about your experience with DuckDuckGo and its search capabilities, especially in comparison to Google. Your concerns about the effectiveness of DuckDuckGo in providing relevant search results are valid, as different search engines can yield different results based on their algorithms and indexing methods.

If you're looking for alternatives or ways to improve your search experience, here are a few suggestions:

Try Different Search Engines: Besides Google and DuckDuckGo, there are other search engines like Bing, Startpage, or Qwant that you might find useful.

Customize Search Settings: Some search engines allow you to customize your search preferences or use advanced search techniques to refine results.

Community Feedback: Engaging with communities on forums or platforms like Reddit can provide insights into which search engines others find effective for specific needs.

Consider Privacy vs. Results: It's important to weigh the trade-offs between privacy and search result quality. If privacy is a priority, DuckDuckGo may still be worth considering despite its limitations.

Your feedback about the need for a forum section to warn others about potentially harmful links is also an interesting idea. Community-driven platforms can benefit from user-generated content that helps others navigate the web safely.

If you have any specific questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask!

Is there a search engine better than Google?

    GPT-4o mini

Whether a search engine is "better" than Google can depend on your specific needs and preferences. Here are some alternatives to Google that might be considered better in certain contexts:

DuckDuckGo: Focuses on user privacy and does not track your searches. It provides a clean interface and aggregates results from various sources.

Bing: Microsoft's search engine offers a different algorithm and may provide different results. It also has features like image search and rewards for using it.

Startpage: This search engine provides Google search results while protecting your privacy. It does not track or store personal information.

Qwant: A privacy-focused search engine based in Europe that does not track users and aims to provide unbiased search results.

Ecosia: An environmentally friendly search engine that uses its profits to plant trees. It uses Bing's search results but emphasizes sustainability.

Yandex: Popular in Russia, Yandex offers a wide range of services and may provide different results, especially for queries related to Russian content.

Searx: An open-source metasearch engine that aggregates results from various search engines while respecting user privacy.

Each of these search engines has its strengths and weaknesses, so the best choice depends on what you're looking for?whether it's privacy, specific features, or types of results. It might be worth trying a few to see which one meets your needs best!

I'm running Librewolf. I dumped Firefox because the new Firefox versions have all the security removed from them by unscrupulous demonic people. BUT! Librewolf comes with the useless crappy Duck Duck Go as its search engine recommendation default. I can't seem to get rid of that gosh awful Duck Duck Go search engine in Librewolf, and switch the search engine to Google. Is there a way to totally 100% delete Duck Duck Go from Librewolf's programing?

    GPT-4o mini

You can change the default search engine in LibreWolf to Google or another search engine of your choice. While you may not be able to completely "delete" DuckDuckGo from the browser's programming, you can remove it from your search engine options and set a different one as the default. Here?s how you can do that:

Open LibreWolf: Launch the LibreWolf browser.

Access Preferences: Click on the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the upper right corner and select "Preferences" or "Settings."

Search Settings: In the Preferences/Settings menu, look for the "Search" section. This is where you can manage your search engines.

Change Default Search Engine: You should see a list of available search engines. If Google is listed, you can select it as your default search engine. If it?s not listed, you can add it manually.

    Add Google Manually:
If Google is not in the list, you can add it by clicking on "Add" or "Manage Search Engines."
    Enter the following details:
    Name: Google
    URL: https://www.google.com/search?q=%s
    Save the changes.

Remove DuckDuckGo: If you want to remove DuckDuckGo from the list, you can usually do this by selecting it and clicking on a "Remove" or "Delete" button.

Restart LibreWolf: After making these changes, it?s a good idea to restart the browser to ensure that the new settings take effect.

By following these steps, you should be able to set Google as your default search engine and effectively remove DuckDuckGo from your search options in LibreWolf. If you encounter any issues, feel free to ask for further assistance!
