good day dear friends on just Linux,
hope this is not tooo off topic....
sometimes i wonder what the new year will bring in Hardware technique: And which hardware does evolve.
my colleagues they say that qualcomm will have a bright future. But wait: Is it only Qualcomm for now, but not for long.
That said: Windows on ARM is being told to be good at "long battery life" and "high Performance"
Well: so far, the energy-saving CPUs have only been installed in tablets and smartphones. Although there have been previous attempts to sell Windows with ARM architecture, wide acceptance and sensible use always fail due to performance and compatibility.
Now there are classic notebooks as well as 2-in-1 laptops with Snapdragon processors that were developed specifically for laptops.Various manufacturers install them in their devices. What is the promise of long battery life and high performance all about!?
Question: which manufaturers come up with this technique!? Guess that it's only Qualcomm for now, but not for long.
Nvidia, Mediatek et al will also join the bandwagon later this year. i guess that Nvidia in particular has a certain gravity that Qualcomm simply doesn't.
what do you think!?
love to hear from you
cheers
