    @ stressed-out dhubs..

Sounds like you 'ran head first into a brick wall'.. Not fun!..
HeY!, We had that 'run into wall' thing happen here in our bedroom a couple years ago.. My lady was suffering nightmares from evil remote viewer spirit-cannibals invading her head and sleep to get at me to suck essence and steal data, so I established a baby werewolf in her dream mechanism, commanding it: "Protect!"...
An hour later she suddenly quickly sat straight up in bed, and burst out laughing to tears.. She said "a little black furry creature chased the bad guy in the dream around a corner to him face-slamming into a steel door at full throttle"..
In folklore werewolves are supposedly 'The Protectors of Innocence', and I have werewolf friends after kissing that lady werewolf on the lips on the west coast.. I can call them to come to me in forests for their tummy tickles and kisses.. I'm supposing they are a 4, 5, and 6th dimensional alien species brought here by our nephilim creators to protect us.. Hot Dyam! they are Extremely Powerful.. I'm glad they are my friends...

Anyway, seems you are experiencing a lot of grief with bludy windows thht.. I'm guessing it's because you are trying to make windows be safe and secure by adding all kinds of security software, and by re-configuring the hell out of it in registry, services, and settings.. That only messes up the windows OS because everything in it is interconnected and dependent, and messing in it makes bits of it non-functional, is why wise people hate windows.. You Can't make a windows OS safe and secure.. It was born in hell to manipulate us, to steal our money, to destroy us by meticulously feeding us to hell.. But it works on a few things that Linux doesn't work with, like iTunes, some: games, blogs, chats, business programs, development programs, and a few finicky malignant hell-biased greedy-pig elitist search engines... Windows is the war on Linux.. Running a windows OS is like 'taking a bath in liquid flaming hate', like 'swimming in a steaming rural sewage disposal cess pool', like 'having meal at hell's kitchen table'... That's why Linux was created.. to escape that horrid windows hell storm...

Probably your best option is to make a fully loaded external hard drive with Linux, exclusive for the windows machine, and never ever connect it to your Linux machine once it's been made.. Start by saving all your windows files to an external hard drive, and resetting the windows OS to clean.. Transfer files via flash drives with a disposable utility notebook that's used as a utility latrine-computer.. I use the crap netbook to open untrusted emails, to explore untrusted websites, and to send emails to the media, to governments and to religion's turds.. This way the hell-devils never touch my private data, nor my clean Linux machines.. And when I need to flush that latrine I simply reinstall the OS, suddenly all the internet-poop is gone.. Only takes 80-minutes to do a completely customized Linux Mint Mate 20.3 install... It's crucial people acquire their Mint ISO's from the only honest honorable respectable download website remaining out there in hell's world:
    https://linuxmint.com/download_all.php

I just did this with an old retired windows notebook, then added iTunes to make it my iPhone's music processing utility computer.. I'm not tampering with the windows OS to try to make it secure, because I know it can't be made secure.. It's full of engineered exploit holes.. I'm using it exclusive for iPhone processing, nothing else... Seems the only simple solution to resetting apple junk, and getting tunes into iPhone's and iPod's is to take a retired W-10 notebook.. Reset its OS.. Don't try to change the OS to be secure.. add iTunes from Store.. Make an external hard exclusive for the W-10 notebook which never ever touches the Linux computers, in case it corrupts them with windows evils, and I never ever add stuff from the windows notebook to my clean Linux backups...

In windows, add: a Pix Viewer, Dopamine, Gimp, Audacity, Portmaster, Librewolf, Bleachbit, Unlocker, Pix, Music, W-10, iTunes, and some YouTube windows security instructionals..

Fill the phones up with music, and set them on airport.. Plug in duh earbuds, unt listen to duh purdy moozic, undt push away from duh compooduh, go have uh pee, undt go outside undt get things done what need be done...

    Re: 'Loosing your tabs'..
Try to make it a strict policy to have everything in the windows machine saved in a utility Linux machine as a working backup... Every change you make to your data and files in the windows machine goes into windows backups at the end of the day.. You never know when 'Storm' is gonna hit the Internet, and destroy every net-connected windows OS that hour.. You'll know when Storm has hit your windows computer when the screen fills-up with duplicates of the firewall's front page till the RAM runs out.. It's like your computer just got hit by an evil tsunami from hell.. Reboot is the infamous 'blue screen'.. Everything on that hd is lost, and the hard drive is like 'burned toast'... That's why everyone running windows on the internet needs a Linux backup notebook of all their treasures...

I hope this solves your windows problem dhubs..

Off the top: Maybe there's a data recovery program that works with the browser to recover those lost tabs..?
I can't loose my tabs.. I have them in a file labelled 'bookmarks', in my many Linux backups...
Maybe a good plan is to switch to Librewolf, or at least add Librewolf to the windows OS, and occasionally backup your Edge data into it, plus back it up into your external hard drive backup..
It's War out there, and War attacks everything that's good.. Soon War will attack the internet, and kill it, along with a billion computers... War is weaponized anunnaki-possessed nazi-kookoo's pretending they are evil hell-gods... War is like 'the plugged latrine spilling over all over the floor'... All the anunnaki planet-invader alien space t.rex's know is destroy, eat, and poop.. Destroying, eating and pooping is their whole meaning of life, their secret of life, their way of living life.. They are the force behind the evil in the war against evil on many innocent planets like the earth.. They end whole civilizations... They are ending humanity...

    good evening dear demanding truth,

glad to hear from you again.

Wow? that was quite a journey! I wasn?t expecting werewolves and interdimensional warfare in a thread about saving Edge tabs, but here we are.

Back to the topic at hand?your suggestion about backups makes sense. I definitely need a more reliable way to preserve my session data. I?ll look into syncing my Edge settings and maybe using Collections as a workaround. Also, if there?s a way to automate session recovery, that would be a lifesaver.

By the way, does anyone know if Edge has an option to restore previous sessions even after a shutdown, similar to how Chrome and Firefox handle it?

    Dear demanding-truth and dear community.

    have a great evening
    greetings
