Announcing foss-north 2025
foss-north is a free / open source conference covering both software and hardware from the technical perspective. Hosted in Gothenburg between Copenhagen, Oslo, and Stockholm, with an international airport, we provide a meeting place for the Nordic foss communities and will bring together great speakers with a great audience.

The conference will be held on April 14 - 15 at Chalmers Conference Centre, Gothenburg, Sweden. The event will be run on-site, in-person, in a physical venue.

FOSS stands for Free and Open Source Software, it means the code is publicly available, so anyone can inspect, modify, and share it. As for what's installed, it depends on the distro or project; some include lots of default tools to cover common needs, but you can usually customize or strip them down.
