Admin access on the client machines

    Hi!

I recently set up my Linux box as a PDC for my very small company. I'm using roaming profiles and I seem to have run into a slight problem.

I need to grant admin priveleges to users on their machines but can't seem to find where I do this.

I know how to do it with a local user, but a roaming user seems to be another story.

I can't map printers and I can't install software as a regular user. When one of my employees logs in to the domain and then they fire up AutoCAD... AutoCAD tries to make a registry change. That, of course, results in an error.

Not to mention that they can't plot drawings either

How do I give the roaming users admin priveleges on a W2K machine that's logging into a SAMBA (v2.2.4) PDC?

FYI: I figured this out myself.

In W2K as an admin user (me) I opened Control Panel then used Administrative Tools then Computer Management. I connected to the computer(s) in question and went to the Groups configuration.

I simply added the users to the Administrators group and applied the changes.

Voila, the users now have admin priveleges on their machines.
