    problems with kernel...

    Hi...
    Do you know if can I recompile kernel from grub? in Gentoo...
    Is that possible or should I mount cd rom and gentoo again and then chroot?......
    I know that I can do that way but I just want to know if there is any shortcut.............

    I don't think you can do it from grub

    boot into Linux and do it or if your Linux isn't working then you need to boot the gentoo install cd and chroot.

    but before I recompile the kernel do you know how i delete the previous one.... or i just use the mv command..
    do i need to make any symlink....

    ........it seems that my kernel has problem with usb and I/O any ideas?
