I was surprised to read "Grub1 doesn't reside in the boot sector." This would mean that linux installations can simply be copied around using file copy simply... since nothing is installed at the boot sector of linuxs' root partition. And then a simple update of menu.lst would still boot a linux operating system copied in this way to a new partition. Could you confirm this please? Thanks.
