Antix comes with an assortment of about a dozen desktop managers.. If you want to test out desktop managers Antix is probably the way to do it...
I just installed Antix in a spare notebook.. It's interesting and a little bit complicated and strange.. It's not like any other Linux OS.. Install Antix on a spare hard drive, and test it out.. It seems to be a good OS, but in the first run of configuring and tests I still can't figure out how to get it net-connected.. It might be a good OS for the Linux wise newbie..? Antix seems to be all about security.. Seems its creators rewrote Linux from the bottom up.. Some people worked hard and long to create Antix for us... I'll test it for a few days to see what good it is..

antix is a non-systemd lightweight distribution based on debian and uses iptables with gufw as a frontend. It uses Windows Managers instead of Desktop Environments which is probably why you think it is strange and yes there are many to choose from. I assume you are using wireless since you it installed it on a laptop. While a wired connection should be seamless you need to make sure the wireless drivers are installed and then connman or ceni depending on which version you installed to configure the wireless connection.

No linux distribution will every be compatible with iTunes. Running under Wine is as good as it is going to get. Based on WineHq database version 12 works best. I do not know since I do not own any Apple products. Blame Apple as well as Microsoft.
